Dr. John H. Murphy, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Murphy spent three years in the Army Dental Corp in Heidelberg, Germany, after his graduation from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He began his dedicated commitment to preventive dentistry while in the service and has carried that throughout his career. After the service, Dr. Murphy settled in the Stow-Hudson-Kent area. He has had his practice and home in these neighboring communities over the past 30 years. He always wanted to be a dentist and his devotion to the profession and his patients is second to none.
Dr. Murphy is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is the most prestigious continuing dental education society for general dentistry. To become a fellow takes 5000 hours of study and the passing of an examination beyond his original dental degree. He has also spent weeks at the L.D. Pankey Institute (a world renowned dental education facility), spent hundreds of hours learning the surgical and restorative techniques to place and restore dental implants and does most all of oral surgery needed in his practice.
Dr. Murphy loves to travel with his wife Susan and has five children including his two step-children. He is an avid sports fan and exerciser.
Dr. Jennifer DiPiero, DDS
Dr. DiPiero grew up in Sagamore Hills, Ohio and attended Western Reserve Academy in Hudson for high school, before heading to Duke University in North Carolina for her undergraduate education. She moved back for dental school and graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University.
While in dental school Dr. DiPiero was chosen as one of only two Ohio State dental students to provide dental care to all of the student-athletes at the University. She was actively involved in the community with regards to dental services and voluntarism in underserved areas of Ohio and received the distinguished community outreach award upon graduation.
Dr. DiPiero is certified in Invisalign, which is a cosmetic procedure to fix crooked teeth and align your bite. An Invisalign treatment consists of a series of aligners that you switch out about every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations to gradually shift your teeth into place. Invisalign is the best way to transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life. She also works exceptionally well with children.
She recently got married to Dave, a project manager for a commercial construction company in Willoughby. Dr. DiPiero is a huge fan of sports of any kind – both as a participant as well as a spectator, and is interested in everything from Nascar to tennis. Her favorite teams are the Cleveland Cavs, Browns and Indians, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Duke Blue Devils. Dr. DiPiero is an avid runner and runs almost daily for pleasure.
